This project explores the aesthetic strategies of Chinese youth navigating urban-rural migration. Through self-ethnography and co-creation, it investigates how "small town aesthetic rebels" assemble their identity using "wild" curation of cheap, local goods and global subcultural symbols. The work materialises as a performative "assembly manual," wearable sound accessories, and a final garment series. By celebrating makeshift fixes, exposed structures, and 2D photo-prints, it challenges fashion's obsession with polish and permanence, proposing a design philosophy of "honest construction" that mirrors the raw, tactical creativity of its subjects.
