Bloom Elsewhere: Flowers as a Metaphor of Migration

This project uses flowers as an intimate metaphor for migration. Through a series of flower-making workshops, participants from different regions are invited to create their own flowers. As they work with their hands, conversations emerge—memories of home, stories of movement, and shared experiences of displacement.

The handmade flowers are then gathered into a communal flower box, symbolising peace, coexistence, and the idea that none of us are alone. By transforming personal memories into a collective garden, the project reflects on how migrants carry fragments of their origins while taking root in new soil.
