Adapted Collection™ imagines the subtle physical changes zoo animals might develop after a
hundred years of captivity, as they adapt to limited space and reduced stimulation.
I use the familiar format of a zoo gift shop to turn these future, research-based animal forms into
soft, tactile objects. Through this collection, I invite viewers to gently reconsider the long-term
physical impacts that captivity can have on an animal’s body
