EXPANDED PRACTICE

Behind Chocolate

Inspired by Cadbury World, this project reverses its strategy of turning moral responsibility into aesthetic pleasure. Through multi-sensory spatial design, it reveals the ethical tensions beneath the “sweet” narrative of the chocolate industry. Engaging sight, smell, and touch, the work exposes hidden inequalities and questions how design shapes perception. Rather than serving as a tool of “ethical whitewashing,” it becomes a critical medium—inviting audiences to sense contradiction, confront comfort, and reflect on the moral cost behind pleasure.
