QingQi’s research focuses on examining differences in public perceptions of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine. The aim is to understand how Western medicine establishes “medical hegemony” over other medical systems in the era of modern medical dominance. She questions the mindset that treats modern medicine as absolute truth.
Her work interprets and deconstructs Acupuncture through the framework of Western medical theory. She investigates the potential connections between two fundamentally different medical systems. QingQi also observes how information systems shape and regulate human thought.
