A Mind Reframed

This project explores the shifting perception of women through the case of Wendi Deng, tracing how moral judgement transforms into structural awareness. Combining archive fragments and jewellery objects, the work examines how gender, power and class intertwine within social narratives. Moving from fascination to discomfort, from distance to empathy, it visualises how understanding is not the opposite of judgement but its evolution. Each material trace—metal, mirror, or fragment—acts as evidence of perception, revealing how female ambition is constructed, distorted, and redefined within both personal and collective consciousness.
