HAND—CRAFT—WRITING

This study asks why handwriting, drafts, postcards, and published texts feel more thicker despite instant messaging and email. Using a “delay–trace–time” lens, I document materials and tools, writing rhythms, and modes of display. Through ongoing writing, collection, and comparison, I examine how action, material, and time jointly shape tone and cadence in the act of writing, and render those shifts visible.
This framing leads to handwriting-as-craft, inviting readers to reconsider the weight and importance of written words.
