I combine wood and collected hair to craft a set of cleaning tools. The idea comes from my mother’s barbershop, where I sweep up fragments from students, brides, and elders. Hair stores identity and memory, yet is quietly discarded. By turning hair from a sign of self into an instrument of erasure, I explore how personal histories meet social expectations. The barbershop becomes a site of collective memory and discipline; its swept remnants are reassembled into objects that question who cleans, what is kept, and what—and whom—gets wiped away.
