River Intimacy Research Institute
Feitong Dai
This project constructs a fictional “River Intimacy Institute” to explore how cities might quantify the relationship between people and rivers as a measurable public indicator. Through monitoring devices, analytical frameworks, and procedural storytelling, the work uses the assessment agency as a speculative tool to imagine how society and governance might evolve if “human–river intimacy” were written into official policy. It invites the audience to reconsider human–river relationships and reflect on how future urban management might redefine the connections between emotion, society, and the environment.
