Shedding examines how the notion of development becomes ideological in contemporary culture. Through video, installation, and interaction, the work shifts from a sacred narrative to a collapse into commercial language. It ends with a product—a healing patch made from snakeskin and absurd “folk remedies.” The piece questions society’s expectation of positive development and redefines the relation between the self and the world through a quiet, purposeless act of shedding.
